It is the nth day that i don't have internet access at my home, it is not as inconvinent as i think before.
INTERNET ACCESS
So, i am at my grandma's home now is great that I can have almost full control of the PC. It is running VISTA and i really don't like it. when ever i try to install a program, it will darken the monitor and ask me cancel or allow. It is just annoying. In a MAC, it will just alert you with a warning message, without blackening the monitor. It is better because I am always runnign other programs other than the installation program, blackening the screen just disturb me.
JUPAS choices
I finally fill out 24 of the 25 spaces, i put one Ling U and one HD only, is it risky?
Indeed I really don't know what i what to do in the future, accountant? engineer? teacher? or just choose pure science subjects like physics and mathamatics?
STUDY
Seems everyone is working very hard now, they do psspapers and do exercises everyday. The tests are always from passpaper and they always did them before. As a result, they just recite the answers out and get very high marks. Honestly, I don't like learning in this way, but I can really learn the technics from doing passpapers.
Last thursday i recieved a message from my teacher that, i may get a D/E. maybe a bad new to most of the students in Hong Kong but i think it is OK for me, is time to work harder to secure my D.
DIGITAL boardcast
there are two television at my grandma's home, one HD and one old TV. there is one to two seconds delay with the digital broadcast signal. I feel a have some defects with my ears as I can hear the same dialogs twice.
DIGITAL TEXTBOOKS
The government is think of replace textbooks with laptops, I think it is a great think as it is very important for students to have the ability to handle the computer by themselves completely. Computers are generally lighter then the textbooks. Someone says that using laptops to replace textbooks may lead to short sights. The same think will happen will textbooks! It is unreasonable to blame laptops but not textbooks, right? also, nowadays everyone needs to do projects in different subjects, computers can help them to collaborate easier with google docs and something like that. there are many countries in the world are replaceiing textbooks with laptops, students should keep update withe the world trend and we should do the same in Hong Kong now.
It's time to go back home now, next update, a week later?
